School ~ Library ~ Community Center

The Little Red Alba School House is an amazingly well-preserved, iconic historical structure on the flank of Ben Lomond Mountain, high in the redwoods of Santa Cruz County, California. It is the last remaining one-room schoolhouse in the county still in its original location, original configuration, and original condition.
A functioning school for nearly fifty years and a remote branch of the Santa Cruz Public Library System for many more after that, it is now the headquarters of the Alba Parks and Recreation District, believed to be the smallest Parks and Rec District in the state of California.
